Dori graduated from the University of Washington with a double major in journalism and political science in 2000 and landed her first reporting job at The Seattle Times. Four years ago, after an award-winning career, she started writing freelance.

Her reporting years have given Dori an edge. She understands deadlines and makes a point to turn in her stories days before they're due. She's familiar with both the Associated Press Stylebook and the Chicago Style Manual, and will write to whatever guidelines a publication prefers. She works well with editors, is meticulous in her research and an expert at finding experts.

Dori has written for national, regional and local publications. National publications she has freelance written for include:

Today's Christian Woman
Celebrate Life
Global Independent Baptist Times
